Rajeshwar Prasad – Appreciation
Rajeshwar Prasad
Rajeshwar has been an author with TSL since 2018. He mostly writes theatre scripts but also poetry and prose. He takes a deep philosophical look at life and situations, and is grounded in Gandhi’s approach to life.
Working with Rajeshwar is a rich experience bridging Indian and Western cultures, styles and ideas. It’s fair to say, we’ve both been on a learning journey – some stops and starts as we work a way round a challenge. His determination to succeed is admirable.
One of my most valuable lessons from working with Rajeshwar and his writing is how differently the non-British world perceive British literature and theatre interests. This has been subsequently reinforced by other authors and my own experience of growing up outside of Britain. Merging the two provides something new, some different.
Rajeshwar’s writing stimulates thinking – to fully understand his message. But that’s what being philosophical is all about.
