Andy Mydellton – Appreciation

Andy Mydellton

Andy is a remarkable person. He has a tenacity almost unrivalled. Despite various health set-backs, he completed Victorian Tottenham Hotspur – a fascinating history of the club before it became a professional club.
While it’s a book mainly aimed at football fans, I found it a rich social history of East London values and development at the turn of the twentieth century.
In all our meetings about the book, despite his physical ailments, he’s always been positive, looking on the bright side and making plans. There are a few other books he’s working on – also historical but different themes. I’m looking forward to seeing them eventually – they’re bound to be rich in content and in taking the reader back to the time he’s writing about.
