Timothy Hoffelder – appreciation

Timothy Hoffelder

Timothy’s association with TSL is through our later Great War in Africa Association imprint (GWAA; https:gweaa.com). As an academic assignment, he had translated a Belgian report on prisoners in East Africa during World War One into English. A friend and member of GWAA thought it should he published – and so it was. It’s an historically rich document – including voices from multiple groups involved and taken prisoner, including the German Governor’s English-speaking (New Zealand) wife.
