Clive Greenwood and Jason Wing – appreciation
Cive Greenwood and Jason Wing
Clive Greenwood approached TSL about publishing the play he and co-author Jason Wing had researched and written. So it came to be that The Ballad Crookback and Shakespeare was published.
Apart from being well researched, Clive brought his intimate knowledge of The Globe theatre and the times to the fore, garnered from his work as a guide and historical re-enactor. He does this at various royal palaces and elsewhere.
Clive is an active actor – just follow his Instagram account… he also played a significant part (or two) in Francis Beckett’s Clement Attlee in 2021.
His co-author, Jason Wing, is a lot less prominent on social media but just as busy as seen by his biography.
Hopefully, it won’t be too long before Clive’s next script arrives. It depends on how busy he is on the stage or in front of the camera… all I can say for now, is that it’s another historical insight, this time into a more recent period.
If you’ve got an interest in Shakespeare and his time, I strongly recommend The Ballad of Crookback and Shakespeare… if only Antony Sher were still with us. I’m sure he would do Crookback more than justice given his performance of Richard III,which sadly I never saw, but have read about.
